Speaker: HERB MORGAN Candidate for California State Controller “How the State Controller Can Effect Fiscal Discipline in State Spending” Herb Morgan is running for California State Controller with a bold vision to transform the office from a passive bookkeeper into an active guardian of taxpayer dollars. At the heart of his platform is a commitment to radical transparency and real-time fiscal oversight. Morgan believes Californians deserve to know exactly how their $300+ billion state budget is spent—without delay, red tape, or political spin. He plans to leverage the untapped power of the Controller’s office to conduct meaningful, outcome-based audits and proactively prevent waste, fraud, and abuse.

Speaker: DON WAGNER Candidate for California State Controller “How I Will Return California to a Disciplined Election System”
Don P. Wagner is running for California Secretary of State, has proposed several election reforms aimed at increasing trust and efficiency in the state’s electoral system. Wagner strongly supports a 2026 ballot initiative to implement voter ID in California. He has pledged to enforce it if passed, stating: “If voters pass voter ID, I will pledge to take it to court if I need to and make sure that this state implements voter ID.”
